Berlin Zwanzig Podcast
The history of Berlin music in the ’70s, ’80s and ’90s is well documented. Punk, new wave, acid house; the fall of the Berlin Wall and the stellar rise of techno. But then what happened? Berlin Zwanzig is a podcast that explores Berlin music, history and culture from 1998 to 2018, through the lens of 20 different songs that have defined the city’s landscape. Produced in conjunction with German creative agency Red Bull Music Academy and digital agency A Color Bright, I interview 20 Berlin-based artists, journalists and scene stalwarts about political unrest, gentrification, rap antics, working class depression and of course techno, among other things. I hosted and co-produced Berlin Zwanzig (“Berlin 20”), which is available on Apple, Spotify, Stitcher or wherever you get your podcasts. Listen to it here or on Spotify.
Berlin Zwanzig was produced in conjunction with RBMA and A Color Bright.
